February updates
Hope this finds you well. We have added a homework link to the top of our hyperdoc so students can access their daily work. It will not always have their UA homework, but our core classes should be updated daily. Keep in mind, we are trying hard to limit the amount of homework the students have outside of our virtual school day. In Language Arts we are finishing up an African American Author group project. Students will share their slides in class on Tuesday. We will then dig in and look at stereotypes, discrimination, and microaggressions and how they affect people. This conversation and learning can be difficult so students will be asked to share only what they are comfortable with. We will share a video that students in the Middleton School District made regarding microaggressions and some visuals with "common" microaggressions. One example: Asking someone where they are from and when they say, "Madison," you might say back, "No, where are you REALLY from?...
